SK5 students delighted their mums and dads with a circus performance in the Atrium after the SK Year End Assembly. This performance was the culmination of their inquiry into how "Organising a performance requires planning and working together."

During the unit, students inquired into different types of performances, planned a performance, and learnt how working cooperatively with others can help. Inspired by a Cirque de Soleil video clip, SK students decided to do a circus performance themselves. They used initiative, took responsibility for their roles and used their communication skills to share their ideas.

Each student knew exactly which role suited them the best : acrobats, clowns, gymnasts and ring masters took their parts masterfully in the Atrium. They didn’t only perform but were also involved in designing their own costumes, choreographing their performances, and selecting the most suitable music and background.

The end product was a fabulous and memorable performance!
