Excursion week: an unforgettable outdoor learning experience

Lakeside connects through book week

Lakeside celebrated CIS’s love of literacy with the ever-popular Book Week from 30 September to 4 October. This year’s theme was “Stories Connect” so there were plenty of exciting library activities, author visits and a book fair - all to give the CIS community an opportunity to “connect through stories”. Project Dignity

Maintaining dignity and autonomy can be a challenge for the elderly, especially in an institutional setting. To address this issue, our grade 9 students created a series of practical clothing protectors to safeguard elderly residents’ clothes during mealtimes, allowing them to maintain a sense of dignity and composure. This is one of the authentic projects, addressing real needs, in our MYP Design course.
